Soul Circus Festival Review 2018
It’s been little over a week since returning from Soul Circus (Yoga and Wellness) Festival for the second year running and I’m still washing the biodegradable glitter out of my hair and (in the vein of Jarvis Cocker) calling my mother to say “I seem to have left an important part of my heart somewhere in a field in the Cotswolds – all right”. As a self-confessed festival junkie, I can vouch for Soul Circus as a completely wholesome festival you’d feel confident to bring the children as well as your mother (FYI VIP glamping with hot tubs and steam room is optional!). It truly is a feast for the all senses with a jam-packed line up.
For the yoga addicts amoung us there is back-to-back yoga classes (of every flavour imaginable – including aerial hoops and slings) with some of the most inspiring teachers from across the world. For the foodies, heaps of the most delicious vegetarian and vegan food plus cooking displays and nutritional talks from top celeb chefs like Jasmine Hemsley. There are workshops and talks galore varying from meditation to self love to gong baths to essential oils to career guidance to “How to strut your stuff like Beyonce!” For the music lovers there’s a day full of fantastic acoustic live music from local talent and an opportunity for a boogie until the 11pm curfew to the sounds of top DJ’s (which is tricky to stay up for after an incredibly active day!).
My personal highlights have to be Funky Flow Yoga with my ultimate yoga teacher crush Kathy Ran, a Britney Mega Mix dance class, Didgeridoo Sound Bath (surprisingly relaxing!) and “Boob printing” female empowerment workshop with Anti Diet Riot Club. My early bird ticket for next year has already been purchased! Want to know more? Visit https://www.soulcircus.yoga/
